Plenty to do as we move into Fall

There is no shortage of activities in our Tri-County (Payette, Washington & Malheur Counties) area, over the next few days. Fortunately, the weather is looking favorable for them also.

This evening, Thursday, September 19th, Lifeways and the Malheur County Drug Free Communities coalition are hosting their 10th Annual Hands Around the Park for Recovery from 6 to 9 pm at Lions Park in Ontario.

malheur county trnsprnt72x76 Since, it’s National Car Seat Check Week, the Safe Kids Coalition of Malheur County is holding a free, Child Safety Seat Inspection Clinic. There is no charge for the inspections and it will be held from 10 am to 1 pm at Hanigan Chevrolet in Payette.

The Snake River Farmers Market is still running for awhile longer and will be open from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, September 21st at Moore Park in Ontario.

There’s a Dutch Oven Dinner Fundraiser at 4 pm on the 21st in Fruitland. Monies will go to help send the Fruitland Grizzly Band to the next Fiesta Bowl. OLE !!

Treasure Valley Community College is holding a TVCC Alumni Friends Reception on September 21st at 4:00 pm. The new TVCC Alumni & Friends Association, comprised of alumni, former students, staff and friends of TVCC, was initially formed last fall to promote opportunities for alumni and friends to stay connected with TVCC through communications, programs and services that foster a lifetime relationship with the college.

After reconnecting at TVCC, you’ll still have time to head on over the 34th Annual St Peter’s Barn Dance & Auction which starts at 6:00 pm on the 21st. Always, a great gathering of people, music and auction items to enjoy.

On Sunday, September 22nd, the Girls Against Bullying, Guys Against Bullying – G.A.B. is hosting a Potluck Picnic to promote Awareness that even in small towns, bullying can happen and only we, as a whole can stop it.

I have no doubts there are a few more happenings going on, that didn’t make it on the calendar. Wishing every single event and their participants and enjoyable, successful and safe event.

Warmest Regards,

Liz
