Payette is the Path of Totality for the 2017 Solar Eclipse

Everyone is greatly anticipating the total solar eclipse that will cross over the United States on Monday, August 21st. In my little corner of the world; Payette, Idaho, we are excited to be hosting numerous special events throughout the Payette area during the entire weekend.

Snake River Transit is providing a special Eclipse Loop from Ontario to Payette and back on Saturday and Sunday, in addition to their regular route services.

We are looking forward to Payette Eclipse Festival taking place on Sat, Sun & Monday at the Payette High School Track area on Hwy 95 near Center Ave. Vendors and a great viewing area is available at that location.

Local taverns are hosting special entertainment, hours and food service for the entire weekend, so no one should get bored or be hungry!

There are live bands performing on Main Street in Payette on Sunday evening as well as at the Scotch Pines Golf Course.

Most importantly, I hope that everyone that comes through our area is welcomed and enjoys their visit.
