While looking over the calendar, I realized that we are very blessed to have an abundance of performances during the months of November and December. Who would of thought that there were so many opportunities right here in our little corner of the Treasure Valley?
Every month, the Gem State Fiddlers hold a jam session on the second and fourth Thursdays at the Vendome in Weiser. That means there is one this Thursday. Not only are musicians welcomed to attend, but also anyone who would enjoy listening to the music.
Ontario Middle School is hosting ‘A Piano for the Ages’ fundraising concert on Thursday, November 14th. This will be a chance to come out and hear these young musicians play and help out a great cause.
The Four Rivers Cultural Center has really been creative with bringing our community multi-cultural performances of music and dance. The Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli de Veracruz will be performing on Friday, November 15th.
On Sunday, November 24th, Community Concerts of Treasure Valley are hosting Bronn and Katherine Journey. This will be an afternoon matinee performance of beautiful singing and music played on the harp.
The always entertaining, annual Help Them To Hope Christmas Concert will be held on Sunday, December 3rd at the McLean Theatre in Ontario. Admission is made by donation and proceeds go right back into our community this holiday season.
The Nutcracker Ballet will be performed at the Four Rivers Cultural Center on Sat & Sun, December 7th and 8th. Performance times vary on the two days, so be sure to check the calendar for clarification. The Eugene Ballet is including local children in the ballet, that had auditioned earlier this year for the opportunity.
Remember that you can review the Oregon Idaho Community Calendar in different viewing formats. You can also choose specific categories, such as “Art & Music“, to refine your searches for upcoming events.
I hope that you and your loved ones will be able to take advantage of some of these entertainment opportunities, that are so close to home.
