Even more Christmas events still planned in our area

Last Friday, a friend and I made our way to events in Payette, Washington and Malheur Counties, ALL in one day! We had an awesome time of getting our Christmas spirit going and this week there continues to be many more opportunities to experience holiday happenings in our area.

There’s more music in the air with the Annual Holiday Concert performed by the Treasure Valley Symphony on Thursday, December 12th at 7:30 pm. I personally attended the Choir’s concert last week at TVCC and it was awesome!

Champions Children’s Theater is performing on Friday & Saturday, December 13th & 14th, with a live production of the Wizard of Oz. This is definitely going to be a treat to see and even is a great holiday gift idea.

McCain Middle School in Payette is hosting their first annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 14th. McCain1There will be booths with an assortment of products and there will be food goodies, also.

A Christmas Bazaar in Ontario will also be held on Saturday and Sunday, December 14th & 15th, at 230 S Oregon Street. There will be numerous booths to check out there.

Santa Paws

The 2nd Annual Pictures with Santa Paws is going to be on afternoon of the 14th at the Snake River Veternarary Clinic in Fruitland. Bring a non-perishable food item or children’s toy for Help Them to Hope.

Then, there’s one more chance for a Christmas Parade and it will be the Nyssa Lite Parade on Saturday the 14th. I’ve attended this parade in past years and it is always worth going.

On Sunday, December 15th, St Luke’s Episcopal Church in Weiser will hold a Christmas Recital. I never get tired of going to hear Christmas songs at these types of venues. If, you’re not in the Christmas spirit before getting to one, you will be, once you leave it!

GrinchIf, you’ve missed out on, or haven’t had your fill of holiday parties, you can still make it to the Happy Holiday Party at the Ontario Community Library. This will be held in the afternoon on Saturday, December 21st.

And finally, for you procrastinators out there, you have lucked out and have still another opportunity to finish off your Christmas shopping at the Procrastinators Holiday Boutique in Ontario. This venue will be open on Saturday & Sunday, December 21st and 22nd.

Don’t let it be said, that there wasn’t anything going on in our wonderful communities this month. We are blessed with skills, talent and definitely plenty of Christmas spirit!

Merry Christmas blessings to all of you.
