In 2013, I was blessed and honored to be nominated and selected as one of Intermountain Community Bank’s, Tri-County Community Stars. With that honor came a beautiful plaque and a $1,000 donation by ICB, to the charity or organization of my choosing. I chose the Payette HomeTown Competitiveness Team to be the beneficiary of my award.
The award is designed to recognize folks for various needs they meet in their community via volunteerism and other acts of community service. It was presented to me at a lovely dinner banquet, where three other local Community Stars were also recognized.
I was quite in awe of the other three Community Star recipients that evening. There was Jeff Dickinson of Fruitland, Wendy Martell of Weiser and Joe & Betty Hopper of Ontario. All of them are truly selfless individuals and I was humbled to hear about all that they do for our communities.
I’m sure that any one of you that are reading this post, knows someone in our Tri-County area that could also be considered a Community Star. And so, now is your opportunity to nominate them. You will need to write a brief 400 word paragraph explaining why your nominee should be recognized as a Community Star. Then drop off or mail that information along with the attached Community Star Nomination Form to one of the four local ICB branches in Fruitland, Ontario, Payette or Weiser.
The selected Community Stars will be contacted, as well as those who nominated them. They will be able to attend Intermountain Community Bank’s annual customer appreciation banquet in June and receive the recognition that they deserve.
Please don’t hesitate in recognizing someone from your community that deserves to be considered for this award. I know that I am still very honored and appreciative to Craig Jensen who nominated me and the Payette Branch of Intermountain Community Bank for their belief in me.
Let’s celebrate the stars in our community!
